Thrifty Teacher Finds & Our Family Is Growing Giveaway!

Happy July! Can you believe it is July already? One of my favorite things to do during the summer is check out all the great deals I can find for my classroom. I'm all about yard sales, dollar stores, thrift shops, and of course, the Target Dollar Spot!!  If you are like me then this next round of posts here at The Elementary Entourage is for you :)

Here are my most recent finds from my second home...Target!
I have a serious obsession with the Target Dollar Spot, especially this time of year when all kinds of cute back to school stuff starts coming out. I found these awesome chalkboard/dry erase easels, adorable little crates, and super helpful sets of alphabet stickers.
This easel would be perfect to use and reuse for tons of occasions. I love the chalkboard look, and it's such an easy way to post a little sign for welcome back night, or the first day of school!
Then you can just flip it over and it's a dry erase board! I love the look of chalk, but not the mess. So for day to day use, I'd probably use this side more. I have all of my math centers numbered in a cart and then students take their materials to a numbered spot around the room. These boards would be an easy way for me to label my numbered centers so students could easily find where to go, and at the same time make it easy for me to change where a center is.
I also have several permanent centers around the room for writing, word work, play dough, puzzles, etc.  I love having a label to make it clear what kind of learning fun is supposed to be going on there.  I could even add simple directions for that day in each center. Maybe I want students to write a list, or label a picture in the writing center.  I could just add a direction and maybe a little drawing to show students what to do.
Next up are these adorable little crates with a chalkboard label.  These are PERFECT for holding shared student supplies or just having multiple bins of supplies for students to take around the room.  I included coloring tools in this crate using a clear plastic cup to keep the crayons from marking up the inside, because I'm OCD like that. But you could easy add pencils, scissors, and other supplies to fit your needs.
Last up are these fantastic alphabet stickers. I love the look of dye cut letters, but hate cutting or punching them out so these would be awesome for bulletin boards! We never seem to have enough bulletin boards in our hallways to show off all our work, so I usually end up taping things to the tiled/concrete walls.  I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure I could stick these right to the wall and they'd peel off just as easily as tape! This would save me TONS of time taping each individual letter!

Alright it's time to let the cat out of the bag! Here at the Elementary Entourage we've been working hard behind the scenes to add a few new members to our little family.  Please welcome our new friends, and stick around to check out our little giveaway celebration!
