I'm late to the party tonight to talk about something that I LOVE to do during Meet the Teacher Night. A few years ago, I started making a slideshow to keep me on track with what I want to talk about. We used to have a two part meet the teacher. It was FABULOUS!
That evening, we had the portion that was just for parents. We highly encouraged that they do not bring their kids. The parents came to our classroom where they sat down and we pretty much discussed everything about their sweet babies new year. I always included an about me portion. I feel like they need to know who will be keeping, teaching, loving, and seeing their babies for so many hours each week. Since I don't have any children, I've always included a picture of my dog. I try to include a cute enough picture where she gets a few smiles.
The major questions or concerns were some of the things I tried to go ahead and discuss in a pretty detailed fashion. I don't know about you all, but I don't like answering the same questions in separate conversations. I'm much more relaxed when I can take away a lot of the concerns that first year parents have.
Grab this EDITABLE Meet the Teacher slideshow. All you have to do is delete the FIRST page and the directions. If you don't want to type in the pre-made slides, delete those. Just duplicate the last blank and edit the text fields. Be sure to share this with as many friends as possible if you like it. Enjoy!
