It certainly seems like the year is in full swing in my classroom! I hope you feel the same way!
For the rest of the month, here at The Elementary Entourage, we'll be offering you fresh ideas for 2015. These are tips, helpful hints, or any useful advice we think will spruce up your classrooms and engage your students!
Now that it's the start to a new year, I am talking to my students about non-negotiable behaviors in our second grade classroom. This is to keep them on-track, learning, and ready for third grade.
I found this anchor chart {and I love a good anchor chart!} that I'll be making this week to focus on how to behavior in the classroom group setting.
Another classroom goal we're going to set this week is having clean sparkling desks, inside and out! We can do this! I found these desk check cards, which I will use in the beginning to excite the students and get this so fresh and so clean train movin'!
I also want to use more kinesthetic transitioning in my classroom to help my students take a brain break and get their wiggles out! Who doesn't need that from time to time?
I really like this roll a brain break resource because my second graders love working with the dice!
Last but not least, we're hosting a giveaway until the end of the month! What's the prize you ask?! A scotch thermal laminator with 100 extra lamination sheets! I use this ALL of the time and love it! When I bought it, I didn't know how well it would work; let me tell you, it's a gem and great in a pinch!
