Is Valentine's Day really next week? How did that happen y'all?!?! I'm trying to finish planning for our class party next Friday. And of course, I'm also working on Valentine's treats for my kiddos and for my sons' classes.
I've also been planning out read alouds for next week. I love love love seasonal read alouds, but what teacher doesn't?!?! Here are some of my favorite books and of course my students love them as well!

I love love love Zombie in Love by Kelly DiPucchio. I had triplets in my class last year and they brought this book to share with the class. In this book, Mortimer the zombie is looking for a girlfriend. You'll have to read to find out what happens to Mortimer. The kids and I love this read aloud!
I'm a HUGE fan of the Gilbert series and Roses Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink is my favorite! I love reading it BEFORE my kids write their Valentine's Day cards. It really teaches a great lesson.
Since I teach Second Grade, I love reading seasonal chapter books to my kids. Nate the Great is always a favorite of mine and The Mushy Valentine is awesome. The kids think it is so funny that Nate's dog Sludge has a secret admirer. It's so fun to try to solve the mystery along with Nate.
This month to show you how much we LOVE all of our teacher friends, we are having a little giveaway! One lucky winner will be able to pick out their very own pair of Tieks!
Good luck friends!
I like Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch.
