Fresh Ideas for 2015 plus a GIVEAWAY

I hope your new year is getting off to a great start!  For the rest of January we will be bringing you some of our favorite fresh ideas that we have tried/would like to try in our classroom.

I've been busy looking for fun fine motor activities for my little Madelynn and I was thinking how great these would be to use in the classroom! I always have at least a few kinders who struggle with fine motor skills especially at the beginning of the year.  I thought these would be great ways to incorporate fine motor skills into our regular activities.

First I love this Colorful Pom Pom Drop activity because it involves both fine motor skills and sorting! I love that all my students would have fun using this with the added benefit of fine motor practice for those that need it.

Check out these awesome Geo-Chalkboards. I love that they could be used over and over for all kinds of matching activities. I would love to use these in small groups.

And last I just love this cute retelling container.  It includes free printables for the I know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly story, but they would be so easy to create for multiple stories.  I could see putting all of the pieces for a story in a bag with the book at a retelling center for my kiddos to use.

Thanks for checking out my ideas, I'd love to know how you work in fine motor practice in your classroom.

We're also hosting a giveaway to help you in creating all of your fresh ideas for the new year.  We're giving away my favorite laminator and 100 extra pouches.  I seriously don't know what I would do without this lifesaver! Be sure to enter here!

  2. Wow, what a wonderful prize! We could certainly use a Scotch laminator; ours at school is very old & doesn't work very well. Thanks for hosting this terrific giveaway.
